This artwork by Laura Gilpin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2013. In the Photographs auction, the work Selected Studies sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,340.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laura Gilpin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Ranchos Church', which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 26,541.53).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Laura Gilpin erzielte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Selected Studies für USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.340,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Laura Gilpin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Ranchos Church' beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 26.541,53) versteigert wurde.
