Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Selected Images of Gothic, Colorado by Laura Gilpin. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,618.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laura Gilpin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Ranchos Church' in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 26,541.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Images of Gothic, Colorado von Laura Gilpin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.618,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laura Gilpin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Ranchos Church' im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 26.541,53).
