Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Composition G4 by László Moholy-Nagy was auctioned at Christies in London in March this year. It achieved a price of GBP 693,000.00 (€ 788,421.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by László Moholy-Nagy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 6,087,500.00 (€ 5,754,868.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Composition G4 von László Moholy-Nagy kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 693.000,00 (€ 788.421,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von László Moholy-Nagy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.087.500,00 (€ 5.754.868,60).
