In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) by László Moholy-Nagy. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,087,500.00 (€ 5,754,868.60), 52% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) the most expensive artwork by László Moholy-Nagy that we have observed at auctions so far.
