Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ohne Titel (Contramerk.) by Kurt Schwitters was auctioned at Christies in London in March this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 75,600.00 (€ 86,009.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Schwitters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ja - Was? - Bild in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 13,970,500.00 (€ 17,455,471.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Contramerk.) von Kurt Schwitters kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 75.600,00 (€ 86.009,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kurt Schwitters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ja - Was? - Bild im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.970.500,00 (€ 17.455.471,33).
