Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Study No. 2 For Diva Fiction #11 by Kurt Kauper was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,113.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Kauper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cary Grant #3 in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 69,300.00 (€ 61,229.90).

Die Arbeit Study No. 2 For Diva Fiction #11 von Kurt Kauper kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.113,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kurt Kauper erzielen.
