Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work I. Study For Diva Fiction #13 Ii. Study For Diva Fiction #12 2 Works by Kurt Kauper was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 250.00 (€ 224.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Kauper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cary Grant #3 in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 69,300.00 (€ 61,229.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit I. Study For Diva Fiction #13 Ii. Study For Diva Fiction #12 2 Works von Kurt Kauper im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 250,00 (€ 224,62) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kurt Kauper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cary Grant #3 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 61.229,90).
