The auction ended at the price of USD 1,000.00 (€ 890.71), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 500.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Kauper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cary Grant #3 in December 2021 with an auction result of USD 69,300.00 (€ 61,229.90).

Die Arbeit Study For Diva Fiction #16 von Kurt Kauper kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 890,71) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kurt Kauper erzielen.
