Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Untitled (arm and leg) by Kiki Smith. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 60,480.00 (€ 57,142.86). Admittedly, works by Kiki Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 284,800.00 (€ 241,560.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (arm and leg) von Kiki Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 60.480,00 (€ 57.142,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kiki Smith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.800,00 (€ 241.560,64).
