Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Good Day by Kiki Smith for USD 1,270.00 (€ 1,201.74). This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kiki Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2005 with an auction result of USD 284,800.00 (€ 241,560.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Good Day von Kiki Smith für USD 1.270,00 (€ 1.201,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kiki Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.800,00 (€ 241.560,64).
