Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2007 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Untitled (Gillian and Smokey) by Ken Lum. The price achieved of USD 1,200.00 (€ 907.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ken Lum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miss Vancouver in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,980.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2007 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Gillian and Smokey) von Ken Lum zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.200,00 (€ 907,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ken Lum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Miss Vancouver im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.980,40).
