Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Round Table Pizza by Ken Lum was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,448.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ken Lum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Miss Vancouver in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,980.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Round Table Pizza von Ken Lum wurde im Dezember 2014 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.448,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ken Lum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Miss Vancouver im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.980,40).
