Sold at the lower estimate price
The work "Language Paintings" by Ken Lum was sold in the Contemporary Art & Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2021. The result of SEK 30,000.00 (€ 2,950.12) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ken Lum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Miss Vancouver, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,980.40).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit "Language Paintings" von Ken Lum wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 30.000,00 (€ 2.950,12) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ken Lum mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Miss Vancouver beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.980,40) versteigert wurde.
