Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work The Control Group by Keegan Mchargue for USD 750.00 (€ 661.84). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keegan Mchargue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Center in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,135.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Control Group von Keegan Mchargue für USD 750,00 (€ 661,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keegan Mchargue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Center im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.135,95).
