In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Festa by Kay Sage. The »bidding war« ended at USD 444,500.00 (€ 392,563.81), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kay Sage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Passage in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,263,644.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Festa von Kay Sage zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 444.500,00 (€ 392.563,81) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kay Sage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Passage im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.263.644,43).
