It achieved a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,408.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kay Sage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Passage in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,263,644.43).

Die Arbeit Cassandra (I) From "Le Jeu De Marseilles" von Kay Sage kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.408,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kay Sage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Passage im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.263.644,43).
