The work Irregular Caesuras by Katsura Funakoshi was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in New York in July 2014. It achieved a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,400.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katsura Funakoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Map of Water in May this year with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 118,265.44).

Die Arbeit Irregular Caesuras von Katsura Funakoshi wurde im Juli 2014 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.400,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katsura Funakoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Map of Water im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 118.265,44).
