Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Water Sonata by Katsura Funakoshi for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,930.82). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katsura Funakoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Map of Water in May this year with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 118,265.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Water Sonata von Katsura Funakoshi für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.930,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katsura Funakoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Map of Water im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 118.265,44).
