Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Water Sonata by Katsura Funakoshi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,115.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katsura Funakoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Map of Water in May this year with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 118,265.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Water Sonata von Katsura Funakoshi kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 2.115,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katsura Funakoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Map of Water im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 118.265,44).
