Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Savanna in the Library by Katsura Funakoshi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 114,394.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Katsura Funakoshi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May this year the work Map of Water was auctioned for USD 126,000.00 (€ 118,265.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Savanna in the Library von Katsura Funakoshi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 114.394,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Katsura Funakoshi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai diesen Jahres die Arbeit Map of Water für USD 126.000,00 (€ 118.265,44) versteigert.
