Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow Sea With Glimmer by Kate Shepherd was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,258.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kate Shepherd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light Blue And Espresso, Chalkboard And Map, Dropped Ceiling, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,390.79).
