Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work A La Dufresne, Jackie Chan Tiles, Blue Black by Kate Shepherd. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,927.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kate Shepherd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light Blue And Espresso, Chalkboard And Map, Dropped Ceiling, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,390.79).

Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A La Dufresne, Jackie Chan Tiles, Blue Black von Kate Shepherd zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.927,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kate Shepherd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light Blue And Espresso, Chalkboard And Map, Dropped Ceiling beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.390,79) versteigert wurde.
