Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Works: i) Little Legless Longo #6; ii) Little Legless Longo #7 by Karl Haendel was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,043.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Karl Haendel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mazel Tov Group (Untitled (Whale); New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #27; Circus #3; Emmett Kelly; Dylan Lyrics #2) in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,260.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Works: i) Little Legless Longo #6; ii) Little Legless Longo #7 von Karl Haendel kam im Mai 2011 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.043,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Haendel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mazel Tov Group (Untitled (Whale); New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #27; Circus #3; Emmett Kelly; Dylan Lyrics #2) im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 29.260,30).
