Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Karl Haendel could be acquired at Phillips in New York in September 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work The Plebian Group: (i) Headlines #7; (ii) Abstract (fuzzy diagonal #3) Negative; (iii) Trapeze #2 changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,703.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karl Haendel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mazel Tov Group (Untitled (Whale); New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #27; Circus #3; Emmett Kelly; Dylan Lyrics #2) in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,260.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karl Haendel konnte im September 2015 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit The Plebian Group: (i) Headlines #7; (ii) Abstract (fuzzy diagonal #3) Negative; (iii) Trapeze #2 für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.703,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Haendel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mazel Tov Group (Untitled (Whale); New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #27; Circus #3; Emmett Kelly; Dylan Lyrics #2) im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 29.260,30).
