This artwork by Kamrooz Aram achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2018. In the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction, the work Untitled (Palimpsest #20) sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,133.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kamrooz Aram; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Last Gleaming sold at auction in March 2012 with the realized price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,235.93).
