In June 2020 Sothebys in Dubai held the auction This Too Shall Pass, which included the work Ornamental Composition #14 by Kamrooz Aram. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,674.56), 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kamrooz Aram - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Last Gleaming, which sold at auction in March 2012 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,235.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Dubai die Auktion This Too Shall Pass durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ornamental Composition #14 von Kamrooz Aram zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.674,56) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Kamrooz Aram mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Last Gleaming beobachtet, die im März 2012 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.235,93) versteigert wurde.
