This artwork by Kai Althoff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in December 2019. In the First Open | Online auction, the work without title sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,133.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kai Althoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Antonius Eremita in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 682,000.00 (€ 769,085.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kai Althoff erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open | Online wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.133,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kai Althoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Antonius Eremita im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 682.000,00 (€ 769.085,60).
