Auction result well in line with expectations
The work West of the Water by Justine Kurland was sold in the PHOTOGRAPHS auction at Phillips in New York in October 2010. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,699.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Justine Kurland have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2007 the work Four Leaf Clovers (Lexington, Virginia) was auctioned for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,395.53).
