Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Narcissus, 1999 by Justine Kurland was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,321.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Justine Kurland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Leaf Clovers (Lexington, Virginia), which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,395.53).
