Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Home, which included the work Peach Tree, 2002 by Justine Kurland. The price achieved of USD 688.00 (€ 612.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Justine Kurland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Leaf Clovers (Lexington, Virginia) in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,395.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Home durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peach Tree, 2002 von Justine Kurland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 688,00 (€ 612,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Justine Kurland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Leaf Clovers (Lexington, Virginia) im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.395,53).
