The work Elixir by Justin Ponmany was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2007. It achieved a price of USD 55,000.00 (€ 38,680.64), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Justin Ponmany - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory), which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 109,250.00 (€ 138,095.66).

Die Arbeit Elixir von Justin Ponmany wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 38.680,64) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Für andere Arbeiten von Justin Ponmany mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Staple agony - II (Plastic Memory) beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 109.250,00 (€ 138.095,66) versteigert wurde.
