The work Febre (19) by Julião Sarmento was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2013. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,500.00 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julião Sarmento - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Emma 4, which sold at auction in February 2004 for GBP 50,190.00 (€ 74,936.04).

Die Arbeit Febre (19) von Julião Sarmento wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 22.500,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Julião Sarmento mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Emma 4 beobachtet, die im Februar 2004 für GBP 50.190,00 (€ 74.936,04) versteigert wurde.
