Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arena by Julião Sarmento was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 10,837.50 (€ 10,622.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Julião Sarmento have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Emma 4 in February 2004 with an auction result of GBP 50,190.00 (€ 74,936.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arena von Julião Sarmento kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 10.622,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julião Sarmento auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Emma 4 im Februar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.190,00 (€ 74.936,04).
