Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pancho by Julião Sarmento was sold in the Post-war and contemporary art - vente du jour auction at Christies in Paris in December 2018. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 12,500.00. Admittedly, works by Julião Sarmento have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Emma 4 in February 2004 with an auction result of GBP 50,190.00 (€ 74,936.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pancho von Julião Sarmento wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Post-war and contemporary art - vente du jour bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 12.500,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julião Sarmento auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Emma 4 im Februar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.190,00 (€ 74.936,04).
