Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Scar and Window by Julião Sarmento for GBP 500.00 (€ 560.61). This price was achieved in the auction Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julião Sarmento achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Emma 4 in February 2004 with an auction result of GBP 50,190.00 (€ 74,936.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Scar and Window von Julião Sarmento für GBP 500,00 (€ 560,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julião Sarmento erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Emma 4 im Februar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.190,00 (€ 74.936,04).
