Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Religieuse by Juan Gris was sold in the Art Moderne auction at Christies in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 11,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Gris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La table de musicien in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 31,812,500.00 (€ 27,260,068.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Religieuse von Juan Gris wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Art Moderne bei Christies versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 11.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Gris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La table de musicien im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.812.500,00 (€ 27.260.068,55).
