Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by José Gamarra was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,568.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Gamarra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Il U Aura Un Sourd Dans L'Histoire, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 27,147.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von José Gamarra wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.568,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von José Gamarra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Il U Aura Un Sourd Dans L'Histoire beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 27.147,27) versteigert wurde.
