Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2010 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by José Gamarra for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,835.53). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by José Gamarra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Il U Aura Un Sourd Dans L'Histoire in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 27,147.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2010 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von José Gamarra für USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.835,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von José Gamarra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Il U Aura Un Sourd Dans L'Histoire im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 27.147,27).
