The work Projeto Objeto by José Damasceno was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in February 2016. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,813.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Damasceno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eraser Sculpture, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,199.10).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Projeto Objeto von José Damasceno wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.813,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von José Damasceno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eraser Sculpture beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.199,10) versteigert wurde.
