The work Meta Auction by José Damasceno was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2013. The result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,819.64) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by José Damasceno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eraser Sculpture, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,199.10).

Die Arbeit Meta Auction von José Damasceno kam im November 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.819,64) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von José Damasceno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eraser Sculpture beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.199,10) versteigert wurde.
