The work After Bronzino by Jonathan Chapline was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 107,100.00 (€ 96,547.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonathan Chapline - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Image Gallery (Collecting and Transcribing), which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 224,383.56).

Die Arbeit After Bronzino von Jonathan Chapline wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 96.547,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Chapline mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Image Gallery (Collecting and Transcribing) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 224.383,56) versteigert wurde.
