It achieved a price of USD 17,640.00 (€ 17,290.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonathan Chapline achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Image Gallery (Collecting and Transcribing) in May last year with an auction result of HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 224,383.56).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 17.290,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Chapline erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Image Gallery (Collecting and Transcribing) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 224.383,56).
