This work without title by Jonathan Chapline was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July last year. It achieved a price of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 62,888.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jonathan Chapline - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Image Gallery (Collecting and Transcribing), which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 224,383.56).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jonathan Chapline kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 62.888,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jonathan Chapline mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Image Gallery (Collecting and Transcribing) beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 224.383,56) versteigert wurde.
