In October 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Via Colombo, Mediglia, Lombardy, Italy - Google View by Jon Rafman. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,700.98) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jon Rafman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New Age Demanded (Swerveman Silver) in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,946.69).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Via Colombo, Mediglia, Lombardy, Italy - Google View von Jon Rafman zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.700,98) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jon Rafman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New Age Demanded (Swerveman Silver) im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.946,69).
