Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Nad (Speed Demon Gold) by Jon Rafman. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 15,943.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jon Rafman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New Age Demanded (Swerveman Silver), which sold at auction in February 2018 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,946.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nad (Speed Demon Gold) von Jon Rafman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 15.943,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jon Rafman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New Age Demanded (Swerveman Silver) beobachtet, die im Februar 2018 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.946,69) versteigert wurde.
