Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jon Pestoni achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2015. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Buried Target sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,492.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jon Pestoni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loose Turn, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 41,422.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jon Pestoni erzielte im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Buried Target für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.492,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jon Pestoni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loose Turn beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 41.422,08) versteigert wurde.
