Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Playdate by John Waters was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in November 2009. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,673.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by John Waters have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2019 the work Campaign Button was auctioned for USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).

Die Arbeit Playdate von John Waters wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.673,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
