Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Big Monday, 1998 by John Waters for EUR 1,750.00. This price was achieved in the auction Collection Marion Lambert at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Waters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Campaign Button in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Big Monday, 1998 von John Waters für EUR 1.750,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Collection Marion Lambert bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Waters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Campaign Button im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79).
