Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Preface by John Tunnard was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,062.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Tunnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Display in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 133,652.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Preface von John Tunnard wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.062,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Tunnard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Display im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 133.652,82).
