Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included the work Jose And Enrique by John Sonsini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,558.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Sonsini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gabriel, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 32,520.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jose And Enrique von John Sonsini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.558,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von John Sonsini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gabriel beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 32.520,63) versteigert wurde.
